WATERCOLOR PENCILS COLORED DRY EMBOSSED DESIGN

I used the new Delightful Frame 3D Embossing Folder to create the background for my card.  It was quite a therapeutic process, similar two no outline coloring.

First I embossed the parts of the frame in the watercolor panel corners. Then I colored it using Altenew Watercolor Pencils. Which took the most time of making this card.

After that I added the Pure White Ink Spray splatters onto it.

Coloring (pretty much any coloring) is a time investment into the card, so for other card elements I usually go quite simple. Which was very easy to do using the new Just a Number Die Set that I used to create a white on black sentiment. I like adding such sentiments on cards, they match almost any card design and instantly elevate it. And usually I do it using white embossing on black. but with this die I could achieve the same effect. And it took less time that if I was making a white embossed sentiment.

FAUX AND REAL WATERCOLOR

To create my second card I used both faux and real watercolor. The faux part came from the new Watercolor Extravaganza Stamp Set. I love Altenew faux watercolor designs, they’re perfect when you want to have something watercolory without doing actual watercolor.

Using the said stamp set and the set of matching dies I made several flowers and leaves (the inks I used are lined below).

To make the background I first embossed a watercolor panel using the new Window Slats 3D Embossing Folder. Then I colored watercolor striped onto it using the Watercolor 36 Pan Set traying to match the stripes with the stamped elements.

The panel was foam mounted onto a white card base and then a floral cluster was created on it using the faux watercolor elements.

I finished the card by popping up the sentiment using the Just a Number Die Set.

EASY BIRTHDAY CARD

My last card was quite quick and easy thanks to the two new products I used to make it. One is the Just A Number Stamp Set. This set coordinates with the Just a Number Die Set, but it also lots of very “sentiment addons” taking a bit more real estate and can be used as a legit focal point of a card (vs being just a sentiment in addition to a focal point).

When I work with stamps like this I like to add a bit to the background as well, to make it a bit more interesting. One way to do it – is using an embossing folder after stamping. In this case Pressed Flowers 3D Embossing Folder was used.

I also added soft green blending around the panel edges to tie it with the die cut sentiment which I wanted to make in green as well.

The blending highlighted the embossed design as well, but without blending it would work as well. I think such design (with other sentiments of course) can also work for a sympathy or support card.
