Hello everyone!
Today I want quickly share a dramatic slimline card which I made using this month Altenew Mini Delight product – Poppy. Despite it’s name as you can see below this mini beauty can be used on a larger card formats as well.
I started making the card by die cutting several flowers and leaves out of a white cardstock.
To stamp the flower I put one cardstock piece I die cut a flower out of into my mini MISTI, placed one flower die cut into its negative space, aligned the stamp along it, inked it up and stamped. And then without removing the stamp from the MISTI I was replacing the flower die cuts into the negative opening and stamping onto them.
Same way I stamped all the leaves.
After that I went ahead and filled the white die cut borders of all die cuts with a black marker. And then I adhered them onto a Jet Black panel of 3″x8″. The filled with black die cuts borders helped to blend them with the black panel.
Next I foam mounted the panel onto a slimline white card base (of 3 1/2″x8 1/2″) and then adhered a red hugs die-cut which I made using a die from the Script Words Die Set.
Lastly I added several clear confetti to accentuate the card.
