MASKING AND COLORING STENCILS

I used the Tranquility Rose Stamp Set and Tranquility Rose Simple Coloring Stencil Set to create the floral cluster on my card.

First I stamped the cluster outlines using masking stencils onto a white panel. Then I colored it using again masking stencils to mask off overlapping elements and layering coloring stencils for coloring.

As far as inks go I used the new Northern Shore, Nature Wonders and Martian Terrain Sets.

After I finished working on the coloring I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.

To finish off the card I popped up the sentiment white embossed on black and added several clear droplets.

STAMPING WITH EMBOSSING FOLDER

The new Ornamental Feature 3D Embossing Folder is very beautiful and luxe. I used it on this card to stamp and emboss at the same time onto a white panel.

To do so I inked up one side of the embossing folder (the one that got then placed onto the front side of the panel) and then embossed it. Of course stamping with an embossing folder won’t give a perfect coverage, but I really like uneven and maybe a bit vintage look it created. To kinda “even out” the “stamping” and make it look more like “it was intended like this” I added a white spray splatters on top.

To finish off the card I white embossed a sentiment in the middle and adhered the panel onto a white card base.

DRAMATIC EMBOSSED BACKGROUND

I used the same embossing folder to create my last card. Here first I embossed a white cardsock panel using the folder.

Then I cut out the middle part of it and taped the pane pieces together. This was I got like a bit different embossed design. To make the background a bit more dramatic I inked over it with the new Mahogany Bark Dye Ink. Then it was foam mounted onto a white card base.

To finish off the card I popped up a sentiment strip and added several Snow Crystals.
