TWO MANDALA CARDS
I made two cards featuring the new stamp set – Blooming Mandala. This set has two different mandala stamps, a full size one and a half size one.
NEGATIVE COLORING
For my first card I used the full size mandala, which is quite big, you can see that it takes up the whole card space. Here I featured negative coloring technique creating an illusion that it was “somehow” stamped onto a black cardstock.
First I stamped the mandala onto a white panel using black ink. Then I blended blue inks (linked below) in a gradient manner onto the panel.
After that I colored all outside area of the mandala with a black marker. And I colored some inside elements with it as well. It created the illusion that the gradient mandala was made on a black cardstock.
Next I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.
The sentiment I die-cut out of a Gold Mirror Cardstock using a die from the Script Words Die Set and adhered it onto the card.
To finish the card off I added several gold sequins.
MONOCHROMATIC FLORAL MANDALA
For my second card I the half mandala from the set. Which I combined with a beautiful floral stamp.
I stamped the mentioned mandala using the Azurite Dye Ink onto a white panel in somewhat diagonal manner towards the top right corner of the panel.
Next I stamped a beautiful rose stamp from the Forever In Love Stamp Set using the same ink onto a white cardstock and die-cut it using the matching die. After that I colored the white outline of the die-cut with a blue marker.
I popped up the floral die-cut onto the panel, which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base.
Lastly I popped up a sentiment strip onto the card which finished it off.
