CARD

As I mentioned above this set may not only be used for coloring. I did color my image though, but I did a very slight coloring and for sure this design would work without coloring as well.

Elegant Floral Wreath Card. Card by Svitlana Shayevich

I started making my card by stamping a floral wreath using the smaller image from the set. It required me to cut out two masks of this set to mask off overlapping elements. But a. I don’t mind cutting out masks by hand, b. in this case if was very quick and simple. I used simple Post-It notes to make masks and only fussy cut one side of the floral (left on one mask and right on the other). And I totally eye-balled the wreath shape. Thanks to the design of the stamp it’s almost not visible that my wreath turned out a bit crooked lol.

After I finished stamping I die-cut a circle out of the middle of the stamped wreath. Then I slightly colored it using Cool Gray Markers.

Next I quickly made the front panel. First I blended Coral Bliss Dye Ink onto a white panel and then applied the same ink through the Feeling Dotty Stencil. When I worked through the stencil I did blending more heavy handed in the middle of the panel and quite light handed towards the edges. Then I removed the stencil and blended some more ink around the edges. After that I added White Ink Spray splatters and foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.

Then I die-cut a word congrats out of a white and black cardstock and stacked the die-cuts using a liquid adhesive with a slight shift. Followed by popping up the wreath onto the card with the sentiment on top.

I finished off the card by adding several sequins.

The cool gray and t he coral Bliss inks are magic with the Rose! I love the dotted background and the tone on tone coral color. The addition of the light gray to the rose bouquet adds dimension and looks to be worth the time it took. Lovely card!

Thank you for your beautiful rose wreath card. I like the whisper of darker coral by using the dotted stencil. I also REALLY appreciated your honesty of the crooked wreath; not only are you admitting that you are still only human, but also that you still worked with it and made a beautiful end product. Thanks! And thank you for sharing your time and talent.
