Hi friends,
Today I’m honored to join The Ton Washi Tape Release. The Ton is celebrating their first washi tape release with two new washi tapes! There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps’ blog for more details.
You probably came from Janette Kausen blog. If not – you may consider starting from the beginning at The Ton blog and see what other participants of the blog hop have created.
PINK PEONY
For my card I used the Pink Peony Washi Tape. This is a very beautiful washi tape based on the Effie’s original watercolor work.
For my card first I adhered a piece of tape onto a light gray panel, I scored lined in the top and bottom part of the panel. Which happened quite challenging to take photo of. After that I popped onto a white card base.
Then I adhered some tape onto a white cardstock and cut out one, the biggest, peony bouquet. I also cut out several leaves out of the washi adhered onto a white cardstock.
I popped the bouquet onto the card and then tucked leaves under it to add interest and dimension.
Lastly I white embossed a sentiment from the Gifted Stamp Set and popped it onto the card.
I like how this layered bouquet turned out. I also like the fact that the background is a bit different in color than the popped peony bouquet.
WILDFLOWERS
The next two cards I made using the Wildflowesr Washi Tape.
To start off I took a kraft card base and added a white spray splatters onto it.
After that I adhered a piece of the washi tape onto a white cardstock and cut out several element out of it. A bigger floral cluster and several leafy elements.
I foam mounted the floral cluster onto the card and then tucked the leaves under it here and there.
I white embossed a sentiment from the Wishful Wildflowers Stamp Set onto a black stripe and popped it onto the card.
Which I finished off my adding several white crystals.
And I made another card using the same set and basically the same approach.
Here I took a light blue card base and added some black splatters onto it. Then I stamped a sentiment from the Seriously Amazing Sentiments Stamp Set in black.
I cut out a big floral cluster out of a piece of washi tape adhered onto a white cardstock along with smaller leafy elements. And then I adhered them in the top left part of the card.
