Altenew Build-A-Flower: Dahlia Release Blog Hop + Giveaway (CLOSED)

Hello and welcome to Altenew Build-A-Flower: Dahlia Release Blog Hop!

You probably came from Kathleen Graumüller. If not – you may consider starting from the beginning at Altenew Card Blog and see what other members of Altenew design team and guest designers have created. There are so many beautiful projects from talented designers. Also you on each stop you you have a chance to win a prize.

The new Build-A-Flower is very beautiful and easy to work with.

For my card I choose a bit unusual color scheme of blues, teals and lilacs.

Altenew Build-A-Flower Dahlia. Card by Svitlana Shayevich

I stamped kind of a wreath onto a white panel. I did it eye-balled, no special wreath builder or something like that was used. What was used here is masking, I made masks out of a masking paper for the flowers and leaves to prevent elements overlapping.

I added black splatters onto the panel after stamping and foam mounted it onto a teal card base.

I die-cut the sentiment out of a Jet Black and Gold Mirror Cardstock, stacked them together with a slight offset and adhered onto the card.

Which I finished off my adding several gold crystals.

Svitlana, I look forward to seeing what you create on these hops. You can be so bold with your colours & I love colour with depth. Your cardstock certainly has the depth & looks wonderful behind your beautifully coloured dahlias. I love how you created a wreath with them. What a great card!
