Today I’m excited to join Rubeena’s Crafting Anniversary Blog Hop. Rubeena is an incredible talented and inspiring crafter. I’m sure you follow her already and if not you really should. She brings a lot of inspiration every day.
This hop is epic with more than 70 guests and over $1,000 in sponsored prizes! Not only are we celebrating four years since Rubeena first discovered cardmaking but also crafting in general. This industry is made up of wonderful individuals who are creative, inspirational, kind, and incredibly supportive! Hop along so you can learn about why we create and how much joy it brings us!
You probably came from very talented Natalia Valkovskaya blog. If not – you may consider starting from the beginning at Rubeena’s blog and see what other designers have created. This blog hop is a lot of fun and inspiration. There will be a lot of prizes too (I have the info listed below).
Since this is a celebratory blog hop I wanted to make a card with a celebration theme. And I used a hilarious MFT You’re Rawr-some Stamp Set for it. I usually don’t make such cards. Which doesn’t mean that I didn’t buy such stamps on a regular basis lol. I’m a collector of cute and/or hilarious stamp set. And it was so much fun to finally play with it.
First I made a background panel using Distress Oxides. I made a panel out of a Solar White Cardstock by die-cutting with a stitched rectangle die.
Then I blended some Fossilized Amber onto the top part of the panel. I die-cut a circle out of a masking paper and adhered it onto the top part of the panel. Then I blended Black Soot onto the top part and Lucky Clover onto the bottom.
I used MFT Sun Rays Stencil to add “moon rays”, which I did using Distress Picket Fence first and Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber on top.
Lastly I sprinkled the panel with water using my beloved Distress Sprayer.
Then I stamped a colored a couple of dinos from the set in question. And I also dressed them into party hats from other sets (MFT Happy Hippos and MFT Beary Special).
I adhered them onto the panel, along with the sentiment white embossed on black.
Lastly I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base and added several clear sequins.
