Hi friends!
I took some time off the Internet, computer and even phone to spend Thanksgiving with family, relax and prepare to holiday madness which already started. I hope your Thanksgiving (if you celebrate) went well too.
I was lucky to play with new Simon Says Stamp Suzy’s Christmas Prints. These images are so great, that they’re already sold out. But there are many other awesome prints from Suzy Plantamura can be found over at Simon Says Stamp. First of all wanted to show you how they can be used with different media. I’ll be sharing four cards made using these cards.
COPICS
I colored this beautiful poinsettia design using COPICs and they turned out to work very well on watercolor paper.
I added some accents with white gel pen and die cut the panel using SSS Wonky rectangle die.
Lastly I adhered it onto a red card base.
PRISMACOLOR PENCILS
People who do pencils coloring are heroes! It takes SO MUCH TIME and muscles. Although the result is worth it. So bright and vivid.
I colored this beautiful stocking using Prismacolor pencils. Usually I use them with Gamsol, it helps to blend pencils pigment a big deal. But it also kinda dilutes the pigment.
Inspired by stunning pencil projects from my dear friend Yana Smakula this time with pencils I decided to “go commando” and didn’t use Gamsol.
Several hours later, almost not feeling my fingers I got satisfied with the result.
Then I die cut the panel using Wonky rectangle and adhered it onto a red card base.
DERWENT PENCILS
For the next card I used Derwent Ink pencils. Which I bought at least two years ago and of course never used.
They were much easier to work with, as I simply was adding some pigment onto an element and then blended it out with water.
And I also decided to add kind of frozen look with accents of white gel pen. I then die cut the panel using stitched rectangle die and adhered it onto a gray card base.
WATERCOLOR
The last but definitely not least card. I fall in love with this picture of a cute car riding a tree to someone’s home;)
This card I watecolored first. Nothing special, just old goof relaxing coloring.
Then added details with white pen and splattered white paint with Tim’s Splatter Brush. This brush is awesome! It creates teeny-tiny splatters. The smallest I could ever make using any other tool.
This panel I also die-cut with Wonky rectangle and foam mounted onto a white card base.
