Altenew September 2017 Release Blog Hop Day 1 + Giveaway (closed)

Hello and welcome to September 2017 Release Blog Hop. We are releasing new amazing stamps and dies!

And I have 4 cards for you today 🙂

OMBRE AUTUMN

New With Gratitude Stamp Set is absolutely amazing. I think when it comes to fall cards you cannot have enough of maple leaves 😉 And this set has a geometrical  ones. If you use layers. Outline images look like a regular one. So you kind of getting two-in-one 🙂

First I white embossed a bunch of leaves onto a white panel using Pure White Embossing Powder.

Next I created an ombre background by inking it with orange inks. Starting with the darkest on the bottom and finishing with the lightest towards the top of the card.

I took thanks die from Script Words 2 Die Set and die-cut it out the background. Along with die-cutting the same word several times out of orange cardstock.  I glued together all thanks die-cuts, with the one cut from the background on top.

Lastly I adhered the panel onto a white card base placing the dimensional sentiment into its negative space, along with all small inside pieces (of letterd h, k and s).

CHALKBOARD ORNAMENT

The second card is made using Peace On Earth Stamp Set. So needed nowadays stamp set. The great thing about it that it has sentiments in many languages. So if you want to sent a card in your language – you may find it here. Or maybe you want to send a card to someone who speaks another language using the sentiment in this language, this set will come handy as well.

For my card first I made an A2 card base out of Solar White Cardstock and then white embossed several pine branches onto the card base using a pine branch stamp from the set Pure White Embossing Powder. I inked the top part of the panel using Tide Blue Dye Ink. Inking heavy handed toward the top and side edges and very light handed towards the card middle part.

I white emboss the ornament from the set onto a Jet Black Cardstock using Pure White Embossing Powder and die-cut it using matching die.  And then rubbed it with a paper towel inked with white ink. Following by foam mounting it onto the card.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Ukrainian using Starlight Dye Ink.

EARTH ORNAMENT

Another card is made using the same Peace On Earth Stamp Set.

First I cut and scored an A2 card base out of Solar White Cardstock and white embossed several pine branches onto it using Pure White Embossing Powder. Also I white emboss several pine branches onto a Solar White Cardstock, inked them over using Evergreen Dye Ink.

I die cut the inked branches using the matching die from Peace On Earth Die Set and foam mounted them onto the card. After that I stamped the sentiment from the same set using Ruby Red Dye Ink.

I stamped the ornament from the set onto a Solar White Cardstock using Olive Dye Ink. After inking the ornament I removed the ink from all part of the stamp except the continents (excluding Antarctica) with a wet wipe and then stamped using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform for stamping.

Next I applied Dark Chocolate Dye Ink onto parts of the continents where mountains are supposed to be using an ink dabber and stamp over already stamped ornament parts.

I inked the ornament with Clear Embossing Ink and stamped over again. Poured Crystal Clear Embossing Powder on top and heat set it. And then I inked the ornament with Clear Embossing Ink, stamped, poured Pure White Embossing Powder on top, removed the powder from the continents (but leaving it on Antarctica) and heat set it.

I created a negative mask for the ornament out of masking paper, applied it around the ornament and inked it with Tide Blue Dye Ink to create the oceans. Following by die-cutting the ornament using the matching die from Peace On Earth Die Set and foam mounting it on to the card.

As a finishing touch I created a geo-pin by white embossing it onto a red cardstock, cut out and foam mounted on the ornament pointing to Ukraine.

WATERCOLOR COTTON

I’m just in love with cotton plant and when found out the Altenew would release Cotton Comfort Stamp Set I was beyond excited! Look how gorgeous and big it is!!

I first onto a watercolor panel I stamped the cotton flowers using Dark Chocolate Ink first and then clear embossing on top of it. I did it so clear embossing would create a barrier for watercolor.

And then I watercolored the stamped design. I did a very basic coloring, nothing fancy and very quick.

I white embossed the sentiment and foam mounted the panel onto a white cards base, which finished off the card.
