I made two cards from the kit. And before I will dive into explaining them there are two things I want to point out.
There cards are the 9th and 10th of made using this kit. And I still have so much supplies left as if I just recently opened it. Not speaking of a stamp and die sets, they will be with me forever. So this kit has a really great value.
Also it took me maybe 30 minutes to make them both, which is a very good result for such a slow cardmaker as I am.
COLORED WOOD VENEER
The kit has a set of very interesting and unique geometric wood veneers. Wood is always a good idea for me. And when they’re geometric it’s even better! I like of course use them as is. But also like altering them by coloring with inks or markers. For my card I colored a cool and stylish triangle wood veneer it using Maple Yellow Ink.
I cut a panel out of design paper from 6×6 pad that comes in the kit and adhered it onto a white card base.
Next I adhered the veneer onto the panel. It’s sticky backed, so you don’t even need adhesive. I finished the card by foam mounting the sentiment, using a die-cut piece from the kit and adding several enamel dots, from the kit as well.
Boom! The card was ready!!
FLORAL FRAME
This frame die that comes in the kit … I just cannot handle it!!! So gorgeous!!! Elegant and very well designed. You can it out of plain paper, or design paper, it looks gorgeous cut out of gold cardstock (like I did on this card).
I just had to use it on one of my cards for this hop! First I made an A2 card base out of white carstock that comes in the kit and adhered a panel onto it, which was cut out of the design paper pad.
I opted to use this blue and kind of grundgy background. Then I cut out several rose clusters and standalone petals out of another design paper sheet. And die cut the frame out of white cardstock.
Which then was adhered onto the card and rose clusters were used to decorate the frame. Some of them are adhered flat and some are foam mounted.
I also adhered several petals kind of falling down from the frame. And a simple sentiment made with a stamp from Label Love stamp set finished off the card.
