Studio Katia • Christmas In July

Hi friends!

This week is a theme week at Studio Katia and the theme is Christmas in July. It’s time to slowly start making holiday cards, isn’t it? Especially if you send a lot.

I’m a big lover of everything Christmas related and of course i love making holiday cards. And now, in July, when it’s so hot  – holiday cardmaking help me to survive the summer, given the hope that winter is coming.

Today I want to share a fun flamingos card today.

I cut a stitched panel out of white cardstock using a die from Dotted Pattern Sets 1 Die Set and stamped three flamingos from Pink Winter Stamp Set onto it.

I added accessories to them and tangles them together with light strings.  Then they were colored with COPICs. With white gel pen I colored some lights. And stamped the sentiment in the bottom.

After that I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.

This is a very simple looking card, looks like something Hallmark or Paper Source would do. I really like making a “printed”-like cards. Although it wasn’t so simple to make, with all masking as well as coloring without ruining a piece (as I often do haha).
