Make a dramatically looking card by stamping a flower with dark inks and placing it on dark chalkboard background. With Altenew Build-A-Flower: Ranunculus. Card by @craftwalks

Hello there!

Today is 15th and that means that there is new Altenew Build-A-Flower product released. This month it’s Build-A-Flower: Ranunculus. It’ll be only available as a bundle, stamp and die sets won’t be sold separately.

Altenew Ranunculus.

Altenew is celebrating this mini release sharing inspiration from design team and also by giving away certificates to Altenew store.

I really wanted to have this flower on some dark background. As you may know – I like making dark cards. And one of my favorite dark backgrounds are chalkboard theme. So I decided to go with it.

First I stamped the flower onto a piece of white cardstock using Cosmic Berry, Purple Wine and Pure Graphite inks. I also stamped the leaves with Silver Stone, Industrial Diamond and Pure Graphite inks. Then I die cut all stamped elements using coordinating dies. I took a black marker and colored all white edges of the die-cuts.

Next i made a black card base out of Jet Black Cardstock and rubbed some white ink all over it using paper towel. I stamped the sentiment in the bottom part of the card base using white ink.

Lastly I foam mounted the flower and leaves using black foam squares.

This was a quick card to make and I really like its dramatic look ;)

Love the chalkboard effect. It’s not just the background but the flower looks like it was done in chalk too. Very nice.

Такой сложный и насыщенный цветок! Алтенью как всегда не поскупились на размеры ЛОЛ)) У тебя наверно одно из самых интересных использований! В чалке сделать я бы не догадалась никогда.
