MONOCHROMATIC CARD
As much as I try to use more colors on my cards somehow I come back to mono or due-toned ones. The card below is one of those. It was made using the new Frilled Petals Stamp Set.
For stamping I used inks from the Delectable Delights Oval Set. First I stamped a couple of flowers and several leaves onto a white cardstock. After that I die-cut them using the matching dies.
I made a white card base and blended the Vanilla Cream Dye Ink in the middle. After which I added splatters on the Pure White Ink Spray and Milk Chocolate Dye Ink.
I adhered the flowers and leaves onto the card, forming a cluster.
For the sentiment I die-cut a word hugs out of a white cardstock using a die from the Script Word Die Set and popped it onto the card.
Lastly I added several brown sequins.
WATERCOLOR
I made another card using this set – Frilled Petals. This time I went with a bit more colors.
I stamped the design of the card using Coral Berry and Moss Dye Inks. I used the mask stencil to mask off overlapping elements of the design.
After that I watercolored it with Brush Markers (Ruby Red and Moss).
After adding the base coloring to all elements I added strokes using the tip of the markers. They have very fine and flexible tips and it’s so easy to add details using them. I also colored the whole background in green with pops of red.
Then I added splatters, because splatters are always a good idea.
Lastly I popped a sentiment and adhered several Snow Crystals.
DOTTED BLOOMS
My next card is very clean and simple, but it’s probably my favorite of the pack. First of all because I really love this new stamp set – Dotted Blooms. And also because I rarely make such simple and airy, if you will, cards.
I stamped a couple of branches onto a white cardstock using the Jet Black and Coral Berry Dye Inks. After that I die-cut them using the matching die.
I added several Jet Black Ink Spray splatters onto a Spicy Yogurt card base and popped the branched onto it.
Lastly I stamped a sentiment in black and added several Onyx Crystals.
