Here are my top 4 Altenew projects of 2018
It’s not my first Year In Review blog hop and I feel like I’m saying it every year – it was quite hard to choose top 4. I’m pretty critical to my cards and dislike quite a bit of them. But I love majority of my cards I made for Altenew. As the products are so awesome that when you work with Altenew products they are so beautiful that already make at least half of a card 🙂
This year I really got into monochromatic cards. I always made cards with just a few of colors (I’m not really a rainbow card girl), but this year I decreased the number of color to one or two. Every time when I was started making a card I was telling myself -let’s try playing with more colors. And I still ended up with the one where only one color present lol.
But I really liked the result and some of these cards ended up in my best 2018 list.
For example the card below is one of such examples. It was made using Wild Fern Set. Here is the blog post where you can more details about this card.
Another monochromatic approach I made on the card for Build-A-Flower Chrysanthemum release. More details you can find here.
Sometimes I opted to not use any colors at all. Like on this card using Bamboo Rose Stamp Set.
The last of my top four for this year had all chances to make the list. It’s a holiday one, features one of my favorite look – chalkboard and features one of my favorite techniques – clear embossing resist. No black cardstock was used making this card 🙂

Also this year I started exploring unusual color combinations. Like on the card below, which was made using the Garden Treasure Set.

Love your cards no matter how many colors you use. I must say that I would have included the ” hugs” carnation card in your top 4 if I was making your list.
