Hello and welcome to Altenew September 2018 Washi Tape Release Blog Hop. We’re celebrating the release of new STUNNING washi tapes. You don’t want to miss this release, these products are pretty unique to the market. I’m sharing three very easy cards made using the new products.

Look at these new washi tapes. Aren’t they to die for? They come in different sizes, from smallest to a full-card width ones. The quality is awesome and they’re very easy to work with.

GLIDED OMBRE
For my first card I used amazing Glided Ombre Washi. It has gold foiling, which is very cool.
The size of this washi is 3″, I covered an A2 card with it twice (top and bottom) to make a continuous background. As washi is very thin it doesn’t add bulk to a card like at all (versus using a patterned paper).
Then I gold embossed several elements from the Peony Scrolls Stamp Set onto a Vellum and die-cut them with the matching dies. I adhered them onto the card right onto the seam where two pieces of washi tape meet.
I adhered a sentiment from the Label Love Stamp Set in the bottom of the card and finished off the card by adding several Gold Crystals.
GALAXY
There cannot be too much Galaxy products. Galaxy is always a good idea. And if you are struggling making your one Galaxy with watercolors it ink blending. Or just don’t have time for it – the new Galaxy Washi Tape is right for you.
I love how it looks with the city scene. First I adhered the washi onto an A2 card.
Then I used the die A from the Layered City Scene Cover Die Bundle to die cut out of white cardstock and adhered it onto the card.
I’ve added a sentiment in the bottom right part and several confetti to finish off the card.
TUXEDO
The new Tuxedo Washi Tape is something quite unusual and unique. Love the sleek sewing of this tape.
It works very well with blue magnolias from the Magnolias For Her Stamp Set.
The card was very simple to make. I stamped several elements for the focal point cluster using Dusk Dye Ink and colored with Cool Summer Artist Markers.
Then I adhered the washi onto a white card base, adhered the cluster on top and added a sentiment stripe.
Very simple and easy design. And it will work I believe with any flower of any color. For example you may have some flowers stamped or colored (left from another project) – just made a card base using this tape, adhered them on top and voila! You have a card!

I could not agree more. And yours is superlative. That coverplate die was the perfect thing to put on top of the tape. Actually, you chose perfectly for all these cards. The vellum flowers are a beautiful accompaniment to the purple ombre, and the bright blue flowers look like they’re glowing off the background of the tuxedo washi.
