Hello there!
Today is Altenew Build-A-Flower product of the month mini-release. This month it’s Build-A-Flower: Morning Glory.
Our Build-A-Flower: Morning Glory Set includes 1 6×8 stamp set (21 stamp images) and 1 coordinating die set (3 dies).
This set contains two beautiful multi-layered morning glories along with leaves and vines. Morning glories produce typical funnel-shaped blossoms in white, red, blue, purple, and yellow. You may stamp these flowers in any of our Altenew ink colors to get great results!
This special product is only sold as a set, not individually.
And here is the card I made using new set.
The day before I was making this card my husband and I went to Brooklyn Botanic Garden and among numerous plants in the grounds I saw those wooden sticks with a plant name that gardeners put in the ground. They inspired to me make the focal element of my card in a shape of such stick with flowers on top. It ended up looking like a jar though lol.
The panel I trimmed out of Moonrock Cardstock. It’s very pale warm gray cardstock. Almost white, but not exactly white. Perfect if you want to add just a little bit of another color to a card. And I added some black splatters onto it.
As you can see the flowers were stamped in red and leaves in green. I noticed that this combination of bright red and any gray is becoming a staple for me 🙂
I wrapped a hemp twine around the “stick/jar” and foam mounted it onto the panel. Which in turn was popped onto a white card base. The sentiment was white embossed onto a black stripe and adhered onto the “jar”.
Lastly I added several Onyx Crystals.

You’re right; it does look like a jar underneath! But I think it looks beautiful anyway, and I really like the slightly grey cardstock underneath to heap the whole image pop. That’s a great tip. Thanks for sharing!
Teresa Doyle
Svitlana, this is beautiful. Even though your “stick/jar” is a little wide for the stick part, it does look awesome as a jar, especially with the twine around it. LOL I think you have done an amazing job on it.
Sue D
Either way you look at it–stick or jar–it is a beautiful card.
Iris M Soscia

Love Svitlana what you have done with this card by using what you have seen in your design. It doesn’t matter that you don’t think it looks right because everyone else doesn’t know. I love the white hemp around the bottom of the stick too. I have an Altenew flower stamp set which I have yet to use on a project, I think you have just pushed me in that direction Svitlana, thank you. :O)
