FATHER’S DAY CARDS
For my Father’s Day cards I used Best Dad Stamp Set. Which has many images for such cards.
I selected several stamps from the set and arranged them in my stamp positioning tool. Next I stamped them on a Solar White card base using Starlight Ink. Then, leaving all stamps still mounted to the tool lid I white embossed them onto another panel. And die-cut word DAD using Caps Bold Alphabet Die Set. After that I blended Starlight Ink onto the letters, applying ink lightly towards the letters top and more heavy handed in the bottom.
I also die-cut these letters out of Navy Cardstock and adhered one top of another, placing the embossed and inked letters on top.
I then adhered the letters onto the card base, aligning them along the stamped pattern.
And after making this card I had an embossed panel left after die-cutting letters out of it. And I still have all my stamps mounted in my stamp positioning tool. So I decided to make one more card.
I made another A2 card base out of Solar White Cardstock and stamped the design onto it using Starlight Ink.
I blended Starlight Ink onto the white embossed panel and then sprayed it with Pure White Ink Spray.
Lastly I adhered the panel onto the card base.
MOTHER’S DAY CARD
And of course I had to make a Mother’s Day card too. For which I used Painted Rose Stamp Set.
I cut a panel out of Parchment Cardstock and white embossed the top layers of the flower and leaves onto it. Followed by adding splatters of Pure White Ink Spray.
I tied a hemp twine around the panel and popped up the sentiment, white embossed onto a Dark Chocolate Cardstock.
Lastly I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.
This card was very simple to make. To be honest I was a bit short of time and initially only planned to make Father’s Day cards. But then decided to push through and make one more. for Mother’s Day. It took me less than an hour to make. Simple last minute card idea 🙂

The mom/dad Altenew stamps are awesome… I only wish their customer service was better – I placed an order back in February and am still waiting for the replacement items (stamps and a dry ink) that were never shipped to me. I have even received another of my orders in the meantime. 🙁

The dad cards make me so sad. My dad passed away march 20th of 2017 at age 93. I know he never expected to live that long and I’ll bet when he thought about it years ago, 2017 was eons away. Except for the dumbells the rest was pretty much my dad. I miss him so much! He would have loved your card a lot.
