Altenew | Build-A-Flower: Peony Blossom+Giveaway (CLOSED)

Hello there!

Today is Altenew Build-A-Flower product of the month mini-release. This month it’s Build-A-Flower: Peony Blossom.

The set includes 1 stamp set (15 images) and 1 coordinating die set (8 dies).

The Peony Blossom Build-A-Flower has a slightly different approach than our conventional Build-A-Flower sets. The stamp set has three five-petal flowers accompanied by a shading layer and a center layer. You may use these flowers as is, or layer them to create dimension. The matching dies will cut the flowers all the way to the edge without leaving a border. This will help in shaping the petals to the desired dimension when using a shaping tool (don’t have a shaping tool? You can use the domed end of a pen or pencil!). We included an additional flower die and stamen dies to help you create realistic blooms! Even though we named the set ‘Peony Blossom’ since the petals were loosely based on Peony petals, you can let your imagination run wild and create different types of flowers! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Altenew is celebrating this mini release sharing inspiration from design team and also by giving away certificates to Altenew store.

I stamped flowers using Crimson, Grapevine and Dark Chocolate Inks. I also used Dark Chocolate to ink petals tips, which I did using sponge daubers. Leaves were stamped using Pure Graphite, Industrial Diamond and Jet Black.

After stamping I die-cut all elements using matching dies.

I cut a panel out of Solar White Cardstock and blended Industrial Diamond onto it using blending tool. Followed by adding some black and white spray splatters with splatter brush. Next the panel was adhered onto a white card base.

I assembled flowers by adhering two pieces together and leaves underneath. I used small pieces of pop-up glue dots under top flower petals to add dimension.

After that I adhered the flowers onto the card. The top one was adhered flat and the bottom one – foam mounted.

I stamped a sentiment using Label Love Stamp Set and Jet Black Ink, cut it out and foam mounted onto the card.

Lastly I added details using white pen and Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops.
