Altenew | Silver Embossing On Vellum with Sakura Blossom

Hi friends,

Today I want to share a cool (temperature wise at least) card using Build-A-Flower: Sakura Blossom. I think for many Sakura Blossom is one of the symbols of Spring. As it is for me as well. But I’m a winter person and I like making flowers with cool or frozen look.

I started with die-cutting of several flowers and leaves out of Vellum Translucent Paper. In this case it’s important to start from die-cutting. I didn’t use the very bottom layers of the elements an without then it could be tricky to stamp just middle and or top layers and then properly die-cut then. So I started with die-cutting the die-cuts work as a guide or bottom layers if you will.

Next using Antique Silver Embossing Powder I embossed the very top layers of flowers and the top layers of leaves. Along with embossing and die-cutting one stamens element. I also dipped the tips of the flower petals into embossing ink and silver embossed as well.

I cut a panel out of Pale Gray Cardstock and adhered all element onto it forming a floral cluster. And silver embossed the sentiment below.

The panel got foam mounted onto a card base made out of Solar White Cardstock.

I finished off the card by adding several silver confetti.
