The Ton celebrates the anniversary with several mini blog hops and today’s is the last one. You probably saw already the new amazing and creative products along with fantastic projects other designers created with them.
I have two cards today made using newly released products.
COLORFUL CITY
For my first card I used amazing City Buildings Cling Background stamp. It has a lot of buildings and reminds me East Village, a neighborhood in Manhattan.
I started making my card by stamping the background onto a watercolor panel using waterproof ink. Then I colored the city scene using watercolors.
I stamped the sentiment using Seriously Amazing Sentiments Stamp Set stamped in black and then heat embossed with black sparkling powder.
Lastly I adhered the panel onto a white card base.
ENGRAVED IN WOODGRAIN
For the second card I used amazing Buildable Woodgrain Stamp Set. I like woodgrain a lot, and this smart set, which allows you to build a custom woongrain is just awesome.
I started from clear embossing the sentiment using stamps from Seriously Amazing Sentiments Stamp Set onto a kraft panel. Next I stamped the same sentiment using brown ink over clear embossed one with small shift to the right and bottom, to create the shadow.
I stamped the woodgrain pattern using brown ink and blended light brown ink onto the whole panel, kind of tying the stamping together and making it look more cohesive. After that I ironed off clear embossing from the sentiment.
I stamped, colored with COPICs and hand cut several flowers from Wishful Wildflowers Stamp Set and adhered them onto the panel. Which in turn got adhered onto a white card base.
I like the most on this card is how the sentiment turned out. It does look like engraved in a woodgrain, doesn’t it?
