For my card I used new Blooming Bunch Stamp Set and can you guess what inspired me to create this card? Well, I won’t wait for your answer and tell you right away – new Pantone color of the year 2018 – Ultra Violet.
I started off by white embossing the blooming bunch onto a watercolor panel. Next I quickly watercolored it. First I added a basic layer using wet-on-wet technique. Let it dry and added a couple more layers using wen-on-dry technique. Getting more sharp edges this way. And I let each layer dry before adding another one.
Initially I wanted to leave background white, and it was looking ok. But I decided to make it more dramatic and colored the background in white. Glad I did as this way I like it much more.
I trimmed the panel so it’s an inch smaller than an A2 card base and foam mounted the panel onto a white card base. To accentuate the card I added white watercolor splatters and several white crystals.
Lastly I stamped the sentiment onto a white cardstock, fussy cut it and foam mounted onto the card.
