Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2017 – Day 10

I’m honored today to guest design at Ellen Hutson’s annual 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist.

Today is Day 10 and the challenge is color theme – Merry and BRIGHT!

I’m usually pretty traditional when it comes to holiday projects. It’s either red and greens, silver and blue or neutral kraft, brown and white. And it was very interesting for me to get out of my comfort zone and make something so bright in not so traditional colors.

For my tag I used Altenew Bells and Bows Stamp Set.

First I cut a tag out of white cardstock. Along with cutting out several masks for bells out of masking paper.

Next I started stamping bells and bows onto the tag. Covering each one with a mask before stamping the next one.

Following Altenew inks were used for stamping:

Tide Blue, Turquoise, Sea Breeze
Rubellite, Pinkalicious, Pink Diamond,
Olive, Parrot, Bamboo
Autumn Blaze, Orange Cream, Sunkissed

Once I stamped all bells and bows (on this point they all were covered with masks) I blended Altenew Sea Breeze Ink onto the tag. And removed all masks after that

Lastly I white embossed a sentiment from Altenew Happy Holidays Stamp Set and tied a white ribbon.
