Altenew • Build-A-Flower: Poinsettia Release + Giveaway (closed)

Hello there!

Today is Altenew Build-A-Flower product of the month mini-release. This month it’s Build-A-Flower: Poinsettia. It’ll be only available as a bundle, stamp and die sets won’t be sold separately.

Poinsettias have been known to symbolize purity, good cheer, and success, but they are probably most recognized at Christmas time.  They are native to Central America and Mexico, and flower during the wintertime.  Some people even call them “Flores de Noche Buena,” or “Flowers of the Holy Night.”  Our gorgeous poinsettia can be stamped in four layers, and is accompanied by winter-themed sentiments.  Build-A-Flower: Poinsettia is sure to become a cherished part of your stamp collection!

Altenew is celebrating this mini release sharing inspiration from design team and also by giving away certificates to Altenew store.

I made quite cold and freezing monochromatic card using this set.

First I stamped two poinsettias in the bottom card of white panel using Turquoise, Tide Blue and Starlight inks. And I used masking when was stamping of course. After I removed masks I inked the background with the same inks, using darker ink at the bottom and lighter at the top.

I added some white spray splatters onto the panel and stamped the sentiment using Starlight ink. And adhered the panel onto a white card base.

Very simple card to make, I like how cold it looks 🙂
