Altenew & Ellen Hutson UWF Poppy Field Blog Hop

Altenew have partnered with our friends at Ellen Hutson to create a special new stamp set!  Poppy Fields is a gorgeous stamp and die set which will be exclusively sold at Ellen Hutson.  The poppy image is amazingly detailed, and it is very simple to stamp.  It is accompanied by lovely sentiments for your cards and other paper crafting projects.

 

We are celebrating this special stamp set with an inspirational blog hop.  You will find the full list of participants below. 

I really love poppies. They’re very beautiful flowers. Also in some European countries (Ukraine included) they’re a symbol of victory in WWII. My grandparents went through it and I was raised listening to stories about the war and all horror it brought and heroism of people who made the victory. My card for some reason brings up an association with this theme.

The card itself is very simple to make. First I white embossed poppies outlines along with the sentiment onto a white panel and then inked it using Silver Stone ink.

I stamped the poppies using Crimson and Grapevine inks and stamps from  Poppy Fields and die-cut them with matching dies.

After that i adhered the poppies onto the panel, which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base.

To finish off my card I added several dots using white gel pen.
