STAMPtember • Tree Cards with Fractile Leaves

Hope you’re doing great. How was your long weekend? Mine was full of cardmaking in general and stamping in particular. As almost all my weekends are. Especially when it’s STAMPtember!

I was lucky to receive some STAMPtember products to play with and today I want to share three cards made using new Fractile Leaves Stamp Set.  This set has many geometrical leaves that can be used in many ways.

STAMPED BACKGROUND

For my first card first I stamped a background onto a Parchment panel using SSS Khaki Ink. As you can see the images in this set works perfectly for creating your own background.

After I finished stamping the background I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.

I also made a “red cardstock” by inking a white one using SSS Lipstick Red Ink. And then I stamped a leaf onto it using SSS Dark Chocolate Ink and cut the leaf out.

I took a stripe of brown cardstock (from my leftovers basket) and white embossed a sentiment onto it. I took a sentiment from an STAMPtember stamp set from two years ago (it’s not available any more). I also white embossed a part of the same sentiment onto the leaf which I then adhered onto the brown stripe, aligning parts of the sentiment together.

The brown stripe with the leaf then got foam mounted onto the card using black foam squares.

To accentuate my card I added several droplets using Nuvo Autumn Red and Dark Walnut.

WHITE EMBOSSING AND COLOR

For my second card I wanted to create many colorful leaves and to do this I created a lot of color cardstock by inking a white one using Burnt Orange, Lipstick Red, Sunshine, Dark Chocolate inks from SSS. And then I white embossed a bunch of leaves and cut them all out.

I trimmed a panel out of SSS White Woodgrain Cardstock and slightly inked it using SSS Khaki ink. And adhered it onto a white card base.

Followed by adhering all cut out leaves onto it.

To finish off the card I added the sentiment stamped with Burnt Orange onto a white rectangle and foam mounted it onto the card.

WATERCOLOR

My last card was very quick and easy to make. I wanted to create a card design with the leaves just lined up in rows. And I decided to went with a messy watercolor approach, highlighting different sections of the leaves.

First I white embossed four leaves onto a Canson Montval watercolor panel and then colored them using Daniel Smith Watercolor 238 Dot Color Chart. This cart has small paint dots to try out before committing in buying tubes. And for small coloring like this these dots are perfectly enough.

I stamped a happy word with SSS Dark Chocolate Ink and adhered Be kraft cardstock die-cut above.

After that I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base and called it a card.

So here are three card using the new STAMPtember Fractile Leaves Stamp Set. What STAMPtember product do you like this year? I have many of them on my list.
