Hi there!
My mood and day schedule are recovering after hurricane Sandy so I’m little by little coming back to my blog. I wasn’t out of crafting all these days. Have something done I cannot show in the blog so far.
But today have one card I can share 🙂 Clean and simple card season’s greeting one . The main element is NYC skyline cut on my Silhouette Cameo (I designed it before using some picture from the Internet I had saved on my computer). I cut the design twice – first time from black cardstock and another one from white cardstock but without windows. Then I glued both together and colored edges with black marker so no white shows from the edges. And it made it thicker as well.
The sky was to dramatic (like during hurricane) so I’ve added some snow falling (as we had here in NYC last week) with Ranger Embossing marker.
Love this snow fall (starry night) background I got using “ghost stamping” technique I’ve learned on Holiday Card Workshop I took recently. Jennifer McGuire showed it there. Stamping with background stamp (I used Textural Dots) with white pigment ink first and then inking it with distress inks.
Entering the challenges:
Cute Card Thursdays – Challenge 243 – Starry Starry Night!
Charisma Cardz Challenges!!!- Challenge #45 – Keep your cool
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge! – Challenge 76 – Feeling Blue
Totally Gorjuss – Challenge 158 – plain and simple
And on Saturday I took vendor desk shift in NYU Langone Medical Center Hospital (I work for). Was giving stickers to vendor’s workers who came to do some recovery works. Unusual activities for me, never did anything like this. But it was a bit fun though. Some another experience. Which I don’t want to have on regular basis but occasionally it was even interesting on some point. And I took some paper work to make myself busy on slow times.
Thank you for stopping by!
