Hi!
I’m taking watercolor OCC. Enjoying them so much! I never really wanted to be a watercolor artist. Took this class because like watercolor trend in cardmaking and … hello!! This is OCC!
But now … I wanna be a watercolor artist lol. It’s so much fun, I didnt realize. And also so therapeutic.
My first results.
Two cards with background created with Jennifer Rzasa’s technique. Didn’t get desired result from the first try. And from the second … Ok, tried a lot lol. Got two pieces I was satisfied with so turned them into cards
Here is pretty unusual for me, soft background. Used Tim Holtz Stencil. “Extended” the card by adding die-cuts, wood embellishment and sequins.
The next one .. went kind of overboard with adding paint 🙂 So it covered the whole panel. Was almost ready to throw it away (as tried to get the “coverage” I saw in class). But the background itself I liked and it reminded me honeycombs. So I went with a bee :))
The vellum under the from panel is embossed in a folder. Reminds me flying path of a buzzing bee  🙂 And the thread behind the sentiment let be flying path as well :))
Finishing touches – sequins. Do you any Sequin-a-holic Anonymous Meetings? I think I’ll be needing one in the close future.
Next.. Watercolor stamping. Stamped with distresses and then washed them. Background wanted to make like distressed or weathered.. But it looks somehow strange..
Watercoloring stamped images. So far this card is my favorite. And it gave me the most fun. So relaxing. Fell in love with Swarup Murthy (Sanketi) technique. Be sure to check on her blog, you’ll be impressed with her work!
Used old Hero Arts stamps that have been neglected for a while. But happened to be ideal for this technique.
Thank you for visiting.
