Hi!
There is a new CAS challenge in a blog I design for. The one is to use a vellum in a card.
I use it very often recently, love this product. Had so much ideas for this challenge so ended up with three cards 🙂
The first two are NYC-ones. Finally used my PTI city scene stamps.
It’s pretty tough to line them up perfectly. Needed several tries to nail it. Thanks God I love the process so this wasn’t annoying 🙂
Anyway. The first one. The buildings are stamped on vellum which I put between the card base and front panel, where I die-cut buildings silhouettes first.
The next one – the city at night. And there is mist there too. So the vellum plays role of mist. The background under vellum – clear embossing of starry sky that was inked with distresses. It’s hard to see it on the photo though.
The greeting piece was stamped with white inks and inked with distresses (so there is some resist effect). I wouldn’t be able to stamp on clear embossing, but wanted this piece to coordinate with the card background. So went this way 🙂
The last one I called – Tiffany. When I choose a cardstock for the card base I decided that the rest of the card should be silver/platinum like. Love my new Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. Such an elegant color.
The base – A LOT of white embossing. That was covered with a vellum panel. The final touches – platinum DIY-chipboard and sequins. To “invisibly” adhere the vellum I embossed a cardstock strip with liquid platinum and put it on the top.
Thank you for visiting.
